I completed my BA and Honours in Anthropology at the University of Sydney, where I wrote my honours thesis on how everyday Filipino diasporic food practices reproduce ‘Filipino-ness’ in Australia. My essay, ‘Bawal ba? The (un)forbidden fruit,’ was published in the anthology The Calamansi Story.

I currently work as a freelance editor and writer, while daydreaming about what my characters would do in certain real-life situations. My fiction draws on my lifelong love of epic fantasy and my interest in the history and cultures of the precolonial Philippines.
